In short
- Book on WhatsApp, by phone, or through the form on our website. Give us at least 24 hours' notice where you can.
- A booking exists only once we confirm it in writing and give you a pass number. Sending the form is a request, not a reservation.
- Fares are per person and assume four or more guests. For one to three guests we quote separately.
- Payment is due in full before the tour begins, by UPI or cash. Bank transfer is available on request.
- Our website has no payment page. Nobody acting for us will ever ask you for a PIN, a CVV, a password or an OTP.
- Carry a photo ID on the day, and keep the ticket we send you.
This summary is for convenience only. The numbered clauses below are what apply.
1.How to book
There are three ways, and all of them end in a conversation with a person:
- The fastest, and how most of our guests book. Message +91 89764 23389 with your date, the number of guests and where we should collect you. We answer every day, usually within minutes.
- Telephone
- Call any of our published numbers — +91 89764 23389, +91 79001 77209 or +91 90041 04537. Tour hours are 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily.
- The form on our website
- Four short questions and your contact details. It ends by opening WhatsApp with your answers already filled in, so you can send them in one tap. If WhatsApp does not open, the page gives you a link — and we still receive your enquiry either way.
Whichever route you take, we will come back to you with availability and a price, normally within the hour during tour hours.
2.When your booking becomes confirmed
Submitting our website form, or sending us a message, is a request. It does not reserve a vehicle, does not hold a date, and is not a booking. Your booking exists only when we confirm it to you in writing.
Our confirmation is a WhatsApp message that sets out the package, the date, the pickup time and point, the number of guests, the total price, and a pass number in the form MTD-XXX-0000-00. That pass number is the reference for everything afterwards — a change, a cancellation, a question, a complaint. Please keep it.
Shortly after confirming, we send you a booking voucher as a PDF and a link to your own booking page. Your printed darshan ticket is handed to you on the day of travel.
If you have not received a written confirmation and a pass number, you do not have a booking. Chase us — do not assume.
3.How much notice we need
Please book at least 24 hours before you want to travel. The circuits start early, vehicles and drivers are allocated the evening before, and a good day is a planned day.
- Same-day and short-notice requests. Ask anyway. We will tell you honestly whether we can do it well, and we would rather decline than send you out on a rushed morning.
- Festival dates — Ganesh Chaturthi, Angarki Chaturthi, Navratri, Maha Shivaratri, Janmashtami — book as far ahead as you can. Vehicles go quickly and the roads are unforgiving.
- Outstation tours to Shirdi or Pune leave between 4:30 and 5:30 in the morning, so we need the pickup address confirmed the day before.
- Large groups needing more than one vehicle: a few days, please.
4.What we need from you
To confirm a booking:
- the package you want, or a description of the day you have in mind if you would rather we suggested one;
- the date of travel;
- the number of guests, split into adults and children;
- the pickup address in full, with a landmark — a hotel name and area is enough, an incomplete address is not;
- a preferred pickup time, or leave it to us and we will propose one that suits the temples;
- a phone number that will be answered on the morning of the tour;
- the name, age and gender of each person travelling, which we need to print your ticket and to plan properly where there are young children or elderly guests;
- your preferred language for the guide — Hindi, English, Marathi or Gujarati;
- anything we should plan around — a wheelchair, a walking difficulty, a special pooja, a flight later that day.
Please make sure these are accurate. A misspelt name on a ticket is easy to fix beforehand and awkward on the morning; a wrong headcount changes the price and possibly the vehicle. How we handle these details, including the details of other people in your group, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
5.Group size, and why fares are per person
Our published fares are per person and assume a group of four or more. A private vehicle and a driver for a day cost the same whether three people travel or six, so below four the per-person figure stops making sense.
| Your group | How we price it |
|---|---|
| 1 to 3 guests | A custom quote for the vehicle and the day. Ask us — it is often better value than people expect. |
| 4 to 6 guests | Published per-person fares apply. This is our most requested size. |
| 7 to 10 guests | A larger vehicle is arranged. The fare may differ, and we tell you before you confirm. |
| More than 10 guests | Multiple vehicles, planned and quoted together, with coordinated arrival at each temple. |
Our Shirdi and Dagdusheth Ganpati journeys have a minimum of four guests at the published fare.
If your headcount falls after we have confirmed, tell us as soon as you know. The per-person fare may no longer apply and we will re-quote before you travel rather than surprise you on the day — see clause 6 of the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
6.What the fare includes — and what it does not
Published fares run from ₹2,000 to ₹4,000 per person, depending on the package. Every fare includes:
- a private air-conditioned vehicle for your party alone, for the whole journey;
- a driver-guide;
- pickup and drop at your door within Mumbai, Thane or Navi Mumbai;
- all toll and parking charges on the route;
- bottled drinking water;
- prasad and offering assistance at each shrine.
Fares do not include:
- temple entry or special darshan fees, where a temple charges them. Entry is free at most of the shrines we visit;
- prasad, flowers, offerings and donations;
- meals and refreshments — and on outstation tours, lunch;
- official temple passes such as the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust's darshan or aarti tickets at Shirdi, which you buy from the trust;
- a special pooja or abhishek, which we are glad to arrange at additional cost;
- accommodation. We will book a hotel for you on request as a separate arrangement;
- travel or medical insurance, which we recommend you arrange and do not provide;
- personal expenses, and anything you buy along the way.
Carry some cash for offerings, donations and the temple counters. Many of them do not take cards.
7.Quotes, festival dates and price changes
A quote we give you holds for the package, date and group size quoted, and for seven days unless we say otherwise. After that, ask us to confirm it again.
Rates may be higher on major festival days, when demand, traffic and the length of the day all change. Where that applies to your date, the higher figure is in your quote before you confirm — we do not add a festival surcharge afterwards.
We may change our published prices at any time for new bookings. A price change never affects a booking we have already confirmed.
8.Taxes and statutory charges
Fares are quoted in Indian Rupees, and the figure we confirm to you is the figure you pay. Tolls and parking are already inside it.
Where a statutory tax such as GST applies to your booking, it will be shown separately in your quote and confirmation before you pay. We will not agree a price with you and then add a tax to it.
If you need a tax invoice — for a company booking, or to claim reimbursement — please tell us when you book, so that we can confirm what we are able to issue for your booking before you commit to it.
9.How to pay
- UPI
- Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm or any UPI app, to the identity we confirm to you. The most common way our guests pay.
- Cash
- In Indian Rupees, to your driver-guide at the start of the tour.
- Bank transfer
- NEFT, IMPS or a direct transfer, on request. Ask us for the account details from one of our published numbers, and allow time for it to clear before you travel.
- Card
- Available at our counter for some bookings. Please ask in advance rather than assuming — do not rely on it as your only means of payment.
Our website cannot take a payment. There is no payment page, no card form and no payment gateway anywhere on it. If a page that looks like ours asks you to enter card details, it is not ours — leave it and call us on +91 89764 23389.
10.When payment is due
In full before the tour begins. You may pay when we confirm your booking, or at the start of the tour — whichever suits you. Nothing is due at the moment you send an enquiry.
- Group bookings. For larger groups, or where more than one vehicle is needed, we may ask for a small advance to hold the reservation, with the balance due before the tour begins. Any advance we ask for is stated in your confirmation, and it counts towards the total, never on top of it.
- Advance paid, balance due. Your voucher shows the total, anything already paid, and the balance outstanding, so there is never a question about what remains.
- Extras added during the day — a special pooja, an added stop, a meal we arrange — are settled on the day.
Please keep your UPI reference or receipt. We record the reference against your booking, and it makes any later question a two-minute conversation.
11.Paying safely — and people who pretend to be us
Our entire booking process runs over WhatsApp, which is convenient for you and convenient for anyone who fancies impersonating us. Please read this clause; it is the most practically useful one in this document.
Nobody acting for us will ever ask you for a UPI PIN, a card PIN, a CVV, a net-banking password or an OTP. Not once, not for verification, not to "confirm" a booking, not to process a refund. No legitimate business needs any of them to receive money from you. If you are asked, it is a fraud — stop, and call +91 89764 23389.
Before you send money:
- 11.1Check that the number you are messaging is one of the three published on our website: +91 89764 23389, +91 79001 77209 or +91 90041 04537. These are the only numbers we use.
- 11.2Ask for the payment details from that number, in that conversation. Do not use details forwarded to you by anyone else, from another number, or found in a search result or an advertisement.
- 11.3Check the name that appears in your UPI app before you approve the payment.
- 11.4Never approve a "refund" request that arrives as a collect or request-money notification. A genuine refund from us is a payment to you and needs nothing from you but your UPI ID or account number.
- 11.5If anything feels wrong — a new number, a sudden change of account, urgency, a discount for paying immediately — pause and call us.
We cannot recover money sent to someone impersonating us, and we are not responsible for it. We do want to know immediately, so that we can warn other guests and report it. Report a fraud to your bank at once, and to the national cybercrime portal at cybercrime.gov.in or on 1930.
12.Your voucher, your ticket and your receipt
- Booking voucher
- A PDF we send on WhatsApp after confirming. It shows your journey, date, pickup, guests, pass number, what is and is not included, the terms for your package, and the total, advance and balance.
- Darshan ticket
- A printed ticket handed to you on the day. It carries a QR code that opens your own booking page and confirms the booking is genuine. It is valid only for the guest, date and journey printed on it, and it is not transferable.
- Receipt
- Ask and we will give you one for what you have paid. For cash, ask on the day — it is easier then than afterwards.
Anyone holding your ticket's QR code can see the details printed on the front of it — never your phone number, your payment or your fellow travellers. Clause 6 of the Privacy Policy explains exactly what is visible, and how to have the link retired.
13.Changes you ask for after we have confirmed
Tell us as early as you can and we will do what we can. Most changes cost nothing.
| What you want to change | How we handle it |
|---|---|
| The date | Free once, if you tell us more than 12 hours before pickup and the new date is available. See clause 5 of the Cancellation & Refund Policy. |
| The pickup time or address | Usually no charge. A materially longer distance may change the fare, and we will say so before agreeing it. |
| The package | Fine subject to availability. You pay the difference, or we refund it, at the confirmed per-person fares. |
| The number of guests — up | Subject to vehicle capacity. A larger vehicle may be needed and the fare re-quoted. |
| The number of guests — down | Tell us early. Below four guests the per-person fare may not apply and we will re-quote. |
| Who is travelling | Send us the corrected names, ages and genders before the day so the ticket is right. |
A change is agreed once we have confirmed it in writing, the same as the original booking.
14.Changes we may have to make
Occasionally we have to change something. Where we do, we tell you as soon as we know and we explain why.
- The vehicle or the driver may be substituted for operational reasons — a breakdown, a driver falling ill. Any substitute is of a comparable standard.
- The order or timing of stops may change on the day. Itineraries are plans, not timetables; see clause 9 of the Terms & Conditions.
- A shrine or landmark may be substituted where one is closed or unreachable. Clause 9 of the Cancellation & Refund Policy sets out what happens if that materially affects your day.
- Rarely, we may have to cancel — a vehicle failure with no replacement, a road closure, a bandh, extreme weather. You then choose a full refund or an alternative date, and we do not keep your money for a day we could not deliver.
15.Photo identification
Please carry a photo ID for each adult guest on the day. Some temples ask for one, some official temple passes require it, and it is sensible on a long outstation day in any case.
We ask you to carry identification. We never ask you to send us a copy, and we do not want one — see clause 2.3 of the Privacy Policy.
16.Large groups, corporate bookings and multiple vehicles
We regularly handle family reunions, community groups and corporate spiritual outings. For these we will plan multiple vehicles, coordinate arrival at each temple so the group stays together, and arrange group prasad and a custom itinerary.
Group bookings are quoted individually, usually need a few days' notice, and may carry an advance to hold the vehicles. If you need a tax invoice or a formal quotation on letterhead for an employer, ask at the outset.
17.Hotels and other extras we arrange
On request we will book a hotel room, arrange a special pooja or abhishek, order floral offerings, add a shrine such as Shani Shingnapur to a Shirdi day, or help you book an official temple pass on the trust's own portal.
These are separate from your tour fare. Where the provider is somebody else — a hotel, a temple trust, a priest — that provider's own terms and their own cancellation rules apply, and money they hold is refundable only on their terms. We do not add a margin to official temple fees. Clause 14 of the Terms & Conditions sets out our role in arranging these.
18.Booking from outside India
Many of our bookings are made from abroad, often by someone arranging a tour for parents or relatives in India. That is straightforward:
- Book on WhatsApp from anywhere in the world. Our booking form accepts international phone numbers.
- Give us an Indian number that will be answered on the morning of the tour as well as your own, so the driver can reach the travelling guests directly.
- Payment is made in India, in Indian Rupees. Most overseas bookers have a relative pay by UPI, or the travelling guests settle in cash on the day. Confirm which with us when you book.
- Tell us the guests' preferred language and anything to plan around — this matters more, not less, when you are not travelling with them.
- Mind the time difference for the pickup call. We will confirm everything in writing so nothing depends on catching a call at 5 AM your time.
19.If payment is not made
Because payment is due before the tour begins, a tour will not start until it has been made. If a balance is unpaid at the pickup, your driver-guide will ask for it before setting off; a booking may be treated as cancelled if it cannot be settled, and the Cancellation & Refund Policy then applies.
Where we have allowed a balance to be settled after travel — for a corporate account, for instance — it falls due within seven days of the tour, and we may withhold further bookings until it is cleared.
20.Cancelling or rescheduling
In summary: more than 12 hours' notice, no charge; within 12 hours, 50%; a no-show is not refundable. Rescheduling is free once with more than 12 hours' notice, subject to availability.
The full position — including what happens when we cancel, when a temple closes, and how refunds are paid — is in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
21.Questions about this policy
Ask before you book rather than afterwards. Message +91 89764 23389 or write to contact@mumbaitempledarshan.com and we will answer plainly. If the answer matters to your decision, ask us to put it in writing — we are happy to.
22.How to reach us
Whichever of these documents your question is about, the fastest route to an answer is WhatsApp. We answer messages every day of the week, and usually within minutes.

The Other Documents
These six documents form the whole of the agreement between you and Mumbai Temple Darshan. They were last revised on 27 July 2026. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you book rather than afterwards — we would rather explain it than argue about it.
